The UNECE Sustainability Pledge is a series of policy recommendations, guidelines and standards that enables industry participants to authenticate their sustainability claims.
We are totally supportive of the ethos of the Sustainability Pledge in our quest to achieve greater traceability, transparency and circularity in the textile industry. Transparency and traceability are essential if, globally, we are to achieve responsible consumption and production patterns.
Here at Crawford&Irwin we aspire to using the most CO2 and emission efficient practices to create all our products. Every time we order we pledge to adapt and change to make our small brand as carbon neutral as possible.
We use only 100% British and Irish fabrics, produced and made from start to finish by reputable companies. In this way we support local industry and diminish the need for fabric imports. We also use vintage dead stock fabric to create unique sets so as to avoid this non-biodegradable textile from ending up in landfill.
You too can show your support by joining our mission: shop local, shop consciously and shop smart. Spread the word and look dapper while doing the job.
“The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for.”
